People have tried to teach me, they've tried to make me understand, but I never really did until this post. Kind of embarrassing, I know.

Examples of Strike-Slip Faults?
- San Andreas Fault, California
- Anatolian Fault, Turkey
As we already know, fault lines are associated with earthquakes. So if you live near a fault line of any kind, make sure you know what to do if the ground starts shaking!
Feel free to leave any suggestions of your own and we'll make sure to address them!

Here's the deal. Let's say your car broke down and you were lost in the woods but you have your 72 hour kit right???
Great! That's really good! You'll probably live.
Now here's another scenario. You have to walk 30 miles to the nearest town to get help.
Could you do it?
Sure, anyone can push 30 miles if they're desperate enough.
But how heavy is your 72 hour kit?
Could you carry it?
Could your kid or little sister carry it if you were unable to?
Let's say you were unconscious, would they know what to bring from your kit?
I think we can admit, it would be safer and more convenient if you only brought what was absolutely necessary.
Now, what is necessary is different for everyone.
If you're diabetic, you'll need your medication.
If you're allergic to bees or have asthma, you'll need to make sure you have medication for that.
I'm not going to give you a list of what you'll need. Chances are, if you're here, you already have some sort of kit. If not, get going on it! Now! You really never know when you'll need it.
Okay, you're probably thinking, lame! No list??? Why am I even reading this?? :/ (no rhyme intended)
Here's why:
I have a website!!!
To be fair, it's not going to give you a list of what you need (well, it sort of does) but it should get your gears turning as to what is absolutely essential.
Don't get me wrong, playing cards, a stuffed bear, and a sleeping pad all have their place. But when it comes down to it, you don't need those things.
What do you need?

Good luck all!

The best part is, you can enjoy it when camping, not just in a survival situation!

- It's easy to set up, all you need is two trees able to support your weight.
- The hammock itself (single) can hold up to 400 pounds.
- Folds to an easily carried size
- Lightweight. Easy to hook to your belt or backpack without tearing or being too bulky
See that little bag hanging from the side? It's constantly connected and that's all you need to wrap it back up.
The best part is, it's actually pretty comfy. My dad agree's and he's the worst to please when it comes to sleeping. :)
